Presentation
Patients typically present with a sudden onset of bilateral, asymmetric visual loss associated with the appearance of multiple lesions in retina. These lesions may be colored from grey-white to cream-shaded yellow. Other symptoms include scotoma and photopsia. The lesions begin to clear up and disappear, giving the eye a light, mottled shade. It is possible for mild pigmentation change to appear and rarely for choroidal neovascularization to occur as a late onset complication.
