The operating system included with the computer is Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, which interfaces with several proprietary Acer programs. These programs include Acer ePower Management for managing the computer's mobile power options, and Acer Launch Manager for configuring the computer's launch keys, which are used to launch various user applications. Some models in the series include a webcam and additional bundled software that allows users to manipulate CD data, operate the webcam, organize windows and empowering technology, a system that is designed to allow safer, more comfortable and practical use of the notebook.
