Events

A night before the historical incident of February 21, Jabbar came to Dhaka to get his mother-in-law, a cancer patient, admitted into the Dhaka Medical College. On February 21, the huge procession and agitation of the students for the language movement made Jabbar interested to join them. Famous quotes containing the word events:

That’s the great danger of sectarian opinions, they always accept the formulas of past events as useful for the measurement of future events and they never are, if you have high standards of accuracy.
    John Dos Passos (1896–1970)

Custom, then, is the great guide of human life. It is that principle alone, which renders our experience useful to us, and makes us expect, for the future, a similar train of events with those which have appeared in the past.
    David Hume (1711–1776)

One of the extraordinary things about human events is that the unthinkable becomes thinkable.
    Salman Rushdie (b. 1948)
