Reception
The film was a huge commercial success and one of the highest grossing films of 1990 mainly due to its music with the showings running to full houses. The album is recognised as the best album of the 1990s era. The songs "Dheere Dheere Se", "Main Duniya Bhula Doonga","Ek Sanam Chahiye" and "Mera Dil Tere Liye" were immensely popular and major hits and rage amongst the youth and general audience while " Nazar Ke Saamne", "Jaane Jigar Jaanemann", "Ab Tere Bin", "Tu Meri Zindagi Hai" and "Dil Ka Aalam" also became big hits. The films songs are very popular even today.
