Early Life
Poreda was born in Walnut Creek, California. He was raised in his mother's Jewish religion, and grew up in Moraga, California. He attended Campolindo High School, where he played baseball and was named Most Valuable Pitcher in the DFAL in 2004. He also played football for the Cougars, and was named second team All-DFAL defensive line.
