AA Southwest District

The AA Southwest District is a high school conference of the Virginia High School League that includes schools from southwestern Virginia, United States. The schools of the Southwest District compete in AA Region IV with the schools in the AA Piedmont District and the AA River Ridge District. A high school is classified as being in Group AA if the student enrollment ranges from roughly 700 to 1500 students

The AA Highlands District dissolved in 2007, with Abingdon and Marion joining the Southwest District. The AA Southwest District will be dissolved for the 2013-2014 school year. Abingdon (Group 3A), Richland (Group 2A), and Tazewell (Group 2A) will be assigned to a new district with Lebanon High School, Marion (Group 2A) will be assigned to the A Hogoheegee District, and Carroll County (Group 4A) will move to the AA River Ridge District.
