“This could be the day.
I could slip anchor and wander
to the end of the jetty
uncoil into the waters
a vessel of light moonglade
ride the freshets to sundown”

“What goes by the name of love is banishment, with now and then a postcard from the homeland, such is my considered opinion, this evening.”

“This Day, whateer the Fates decree;
Shall still be kept with Joy by me:
This Day then, let us not be told,
That you are sick, and I grown old,”
