This episode would be the last one that Marco Pennette and James Hayman would co-produce or write in the series. On February 11, 2008, both Pennette and Hayman were axed from their jobs on the same day that Ugly Betty was renewed for a third season. This would be Pennette's sixth episode that he would co-write or produce, and Hayman's seventh during this tenure.
