A. J. Feeley - College Career

College Career

Feeley was a four-year letterman at Oregon, and saw most of his playing time in his sophomore and junior years. He was a nominee for the Davey O'Brien Award as a junior, throwing for 1,951 yards and 14 touchdowns before being sidelined with an elbow injury. However, most of his senior year he was a backup to starter Joey Harrington, who was drafted by the Detroit Lions.

Famous quotes containing the words college and/or career:

The logical English train a scholar as they train an engineer. Oxford is Greek factory, as Wilton mills weave carpet, and Sheffield grinds steel. They know the use of a tutor, as they know the use of a horse; and they draw the greatest amount of benefit from both. The reading men are kept by hard walking, hard riding, and measured eating and drinking, at the top of their condition, and two days before the examination, do not work but lounge, ride, or run, to be fresh on the college doomsday.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

The problem, thus, is not whether or not women are to combine marriage and motherhood with work or career but how they are to do so—concomitantly in a two-role continuous pattern or sequentially in a pattern involving job or career discontinuities.
    Jessie Bernard (20th century)
