Critical Response
James Boswell, in his Life of Samuel Johnson, wrote:
" abounded in anecdote, but was no sufficiently attentive to accuracy. Famous quotes containing the words critical and/or response:
“An art whose medium is language will always show a high degree of critical creativeness, for speech is itself a critique of life: it names, it characterizes, it passes judgment, in that it creates.”
—Thomas Mann (18751955)
“Eyes seeking the response of eyes
Bring out the stars, bring out the flowers,
Thus concentrating earth and skies
So none need be afraid of size.
All revelation has been ours.”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
