Casualties
The Regiment lost during its service two Officers and 32 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded. There were also 5 Officers and 204 Enlisted men who died by disease, for a total of 243.
The last Hoosier casualty of the Civil War was a Hoosier { Pvt John J Willimas} in the 34th who was taking part in an engagement in Texas in 1865.
