2 Days & 1 Night

1 Night 2 Days (Korean: 1박 2일), first aired on August 5, 2007, is a South Korean reality-variety show shown on the KBS2. 1 Night 2 Days is one of the two segments (the other segment is The Qualities of a Man) for Happy Sunday. The show's current cast members are Lee Su Geun, Kim Jong Min, Uhm Tae-woong, Yoo Hae-jin, Cha Tae Hyun, Sung Shi Kyung, and Joo Won.

The show's motto is "Real wild road variety". Its main concept is to recommend various places of interest that viewers can visit in South Korea. Because of the similar concepts in variety shows, 1 Night 2 Days has often been compared with SBS's Good Sunday's Family Outing 2 (a 1 night, 2 day trip) and MBC's Infinity Challenge (7 men competing in games). Filming for every new trip is usually done 2 weeks prior to broadcast.

On August 2011, the producers and then cast members had a meeting on the status of the show and they have come to an agreement to end 1 Night 2 Days due to Kang Ho Dong's fatigue and an offer to go to SBS, as well as the other members' issues. On September 9, 2011, Kang Ho Dong left the show due to allegations of tax evasion and retired from show business. Season 1 broadcast its final episode on February 26, 2012, and Season 2 began on March 4, 2012.

Famous quotes containing the words days and/or night:

The rage for road building is beneficent for America, where vast distance is so main a consideration in our domestic politics and trade, inasmuch as the great political promise of the invention is to hold the Union staunch, whose days already seem numbered by the mere inconvenience of transporting representatives, judges and officers across such tedious distances of land and water.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

I would rather be known as an advocate of equal suffrage than to speak every night on the best-paying platforms in the United States and ignore it.
    Anna Howard Shaw (1847–1919)
