2009 Adelaide Sevens
The Adelaide Sevens, is played annually as part of the IRB Sevens World Series for international rugby sevens (seven-a-side version of rugby union). The 2009 competition took place on 3 to 5 April in Adelaide, Australia and was the sixth Cup trophy in the 2008-09 IRB Sevens World Series.
South Africa retained their title, and took an almost unassailable lead in the 2008-09 IRB Sevens World Series, defeating rapidly improving Kenya in the final. England won the Plate, Samoa the Bowl and USA the Shield.
