Background
Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD) is a rare degenerative and fatal neurological disease of humans caused by prion organisms which are usually transmitted by consuming the flesh (especially the neurological tissue and offal) of infected animals. Similarly, BSE can be transmitted to cattle who are fed animal meal (this practice was banned in the US by the Food and Drug Administration in 1997). The prion which causes BSE can be transmitted to humans where it can cause a type of CJD called "new variant CJD" (vCJD). No cases of vCJD have been linked to the rare cases of BSE detected in US beef cattle.

“In the true sense ones native land, with its background of tradition, early impressions, reminiscences and other things dear to one, is not enough to make sensitive human beings feel at home.”
—Emma Goldman (18691940)
“I had many problems in my conduct of the office being contrasted with President Kennedys conduct in the office, with my manner of dealing with things and his manner, with my accent and his accent, with my background and his background. He was a great public hero, and anything I did that someone didnt approve of, they would always feel that President Kennedy wouldnt have done that.”
—Lyndon Baines Johnson (19081973)
