Famous quotes containing the word jury:

“He could not have been tried by a jury of his peers, because his peers did not exist.”

“So the Snark found the verdict, although as it owned,
It was spent with the toils of the day:
When it said the word ‘GUILTY!’ the Jury all groaned,
And some of them fainted away.”

“Shocking writing is like murder: the questions the jury must decide are the questions of motive and intent.”
