Famous quotes containing the words men, world and/or ice:

This artless young creature [Evelina], with too much beauty to escape notice, has too much sensibility to be indifferent to it; but she has too little wealth to be sought with propriety by men of the fashionable world.
    Frances Burney (1752–1840)

The world has not to be put in order: the world is order incarnate. It is for us to put ourselves in unison with this order.
    Henry Miller (1891–1980)

Goodness and evil never share the same road, just as ice and charcoal never share the same container.
    Chinese proverb.
