1st Utah Senate District

The 1st Utah Senate District is located in Salt Lake County and includes Utah House Districts 20, 22, 23, 26, 29, 31 and 33.

The current State Senator representing the 1st district is Luz Robles. Former Senator Fred Fife was elected to the Utah Senate in 2004. Fife was defeated by Robles at the Salt Lake County Democratic Convention on April 26, 2008. Robles won against Salt Lake City Councilman Carlton Christensen, the Republican nominee, in the General Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.
