Attractions
Along with 12th Street Station the station serves as an essential feeder of commuters to the job center that is downtown Oakland. Passengers have also used this to access attractions like the marijuana district of Oaksterdam, the Paramount Theatre, the Fox Theater, Oakland Museum of California, Lake Merritt, the culinary and drinking scene of Uptown and Downtown generally and the Oakland Ice Center. A future attraction, the Uptown Art Park/Sculpture Garden is slated to open in the fall of 2011.
