The 1996 Masters Tournament was the 60th Masters Tournament held April 11–14 at Augusta National Golf Club. Nick Faldo won his third Masters and his sixth and final major title by five strokes over runner-up Greg Norman. Faldo overcame a six-stroke deficit going into the final day as Norman faltered down the stretch once again at Augusta.
Famous quotes containing the word masters:
“It is only a short step from exaggerating what we can find in the world to exaggerating our power to remake the world. Expecting more novelty than there is, more greatness than there is, and more strangeness than there is, we imagine ourselves masters of a plastic universe. But a world we can shape to our will ... is a shapeless world.”
