Thuot, Hieb and Akers captured Intelsat VI with their hands. The trio then pulled the satellite into the payload pay, added a new perigee kick motor, and launched the satellite away from Endeavour. This spacewalk was the first three-person spacewalk in history and the three spacewalkers also set a new record for elapsed spacewalk time. |
