Qualification Tournament
The tournament was held between eight teams. Canada and the United States as the top two ranked teams received automatic qualification for the tournament. In addition, the top five teams from the 1991 European Championship would be joined by the winner of the 1992 Asian Qualification Tournament.

- Norway - 4th Place - 1991 European Championship
- Switzerland - 5th Place - 1991 European Championship
- Sweden - 2nd Place - 1991 European Championship
- United States - Automatically Qualified
