- 29 March - Sultan Yahya Petra ibni Almarhum Sultan Ibrahim Petra of Kelantan and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong dies. His body was brought back to Kelantan and laid to rest at Kelantan royal mausoleum, Langgar, Kota Bharu.
