October 22 Previously unbeaten (6-0-0) #1 Michigan was shut out when it visited unranked (4-2-0) Minnesota, 16-0. #2 Texas won at SMU, 30-14. #3 Alabama beat Louisville, 55-6. #4 Ohio State won at Northwestern, 35-15.
