The 1960 Masters Tournament was contested from April 7 to April 10 at Augusta National Golf Club. It was the 24th Masters Tournament. 83 players entered the tournament and 45 of them made the cut at six-over-par (150).
Arnold Palmer won his second Masters when he birdied the final two holes Sunday to win by one stroke. This was Palmer's second of four Masters victories and second of seven major victories.
Jack Nicklaus made his first Masters cut and finished tied for 13th place. He entered as an amateur.
The Par 3 contest was introduced this year. Sam Snead won with a score of 23.
