Famous quotes containing the words top, ten and/or riders:

“That’s how the Germans are.... The aristocrats at the top hard as glass, cold as ice, servants of the King, the working masses willing, pliable, sentimental, susceptible to brutality, the middle class educated and cowardly to the point of servility.”
    —Alfred Döblin (1878–1957)

“You may persevere in obscurity for ten years in your study, but the day you make a name for yourself, the whole world will acclaim you.”
    —Chinese proverb.

“To see the earth as we now see it, small and beautiful in that eternal silence where it floats, is to see ourselves as riders on the earth together, brothers on that bright loveliness in the unending night—brothers who see now they are truly brothers.”
    —Archibald MacLeish (1892–1982)
