125th Street is a station on the IRT Lenox Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of 125th Street (also known as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard) and Lenox Avenue (also known as Malcolm X Boulevard) in Harlem, it is served by the 2 and 3 trains at all times.
The fare control is at platform level, and there is no crossover or crossunder between the two side platforms. The station has a new name tablet plus some old "125" terra cotta cartouches. The tracks, trackways, and platforms at this station were totally rebuilt during a 1998 reconstruction project to combat a water seepage problem along the Lenox Avenue Line.
